Galactic Laws and the Pax Concordat

 Gentle word of reminder about some applicable Galactic Laws and the Pax Concordat

All invocations must be filed with the appropriate Concordat Imperium offices and proper forms must be obeyed.

Galactic Law is an immense body of work created to ensure the Pax Concordat, including the Shadow Proclamations, The Galactic Code, Galactic Charter, Galactic Council Law, Galactic Admiralty and Maritime Laws, innumerable Treaties & Accords, Intergalactic Rules of Engagement, The Ancient Covenants, The Amended Proprieties Act, Galactic Heritage Act, The Great Convention and of course the explicit rule that "The Forms must be obeyed".

All Galactic Law are subject to the final interpretation by the Concordat Imperator and his duly appointed assigns as trustees of the Imperial Will for the sake of the Pax Concordat.

Imperial Law applies to all those residing within boundaries the Concordat Imperium, including any internal Nationalised Groups/Organisations, Protectorates and Dominions, regardless of branch and position and all individuals/groups who enter within Concordat Imperium in any capacity.

The Great Convention is a historic treaty brokered by and between the Spatium Tempus Navigatium Corpus, Honourable Combine for Mercantile Advancement, the Great Houses of the Concordat, and the Concordat Imperium.

The Pax Concordat of the Great Convention is a universal truce monitored by the Spatium Tempus Navigatium Corpus and the Honourable Combine for Mercantile Advancement, agreed upon by the 1093 Great Houses of the Concordat, representing approximately 70% of the known sentient life in the Mutter Spiral Galaxy, and enforced by the Concordat Imperium.

Every article and rule of the Great Convention began with the phrase, "The Forms must be obeyed...".

The primary rule of the Great Convention prohibits the use of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction against sentient beings and withing the ecosphere of inhabitable planets.

The underlying philosophy of the Great Convention is that sentient life is precious and superior to all other forms of existence and was to be protected. As a result, strict rules such as Kanly and War of Assassins were put in place for wars and feuds.

Great Convention Volume 30, section 6.3. By mutual agreement between the Federated Council, the regulation was designed to prohibit Imperators from taking sides but act as a neutral arbiter. It concerns situations of House-to-House warfare, in which an appeal to the Imperator has been made. The Imperator is required either to render immediate assistance, or convene an emergency Security Council meeting to deal with the matter.

Great Convention Jihad Appendix 19-004. In matters involving the Cellarion Conflict and the strictures established thereafter, the Imperator is given additional latitude to make decisions regarding punishment for those who breach the prohibition against Cellarions.

The Treaty of Parlagon forbids private individuals from owning nuclear weapons or any other weapon of mass destruction.

Galactic Law states that first claim of mining rights on any given planet would always go to the planet's native population.

Galactic Law states that any mining operations on consecrated planets, moons and asteroids is illegal

Galactic Law Article 7 prohibits any form of genocide by Great Houses of the Concordat.

Galactic Council Law 566 forbids attacks on defenceless sentient beings.

Article XII of the Galactic Code bans the creation and use of golems or any other kind of homunculi.

Article 29.8 of the Shadow Proclamation bans the use and creation of Gelem warriors. Gelem Warriors are artificial beings made from living creatures.

A word to the wise, The Forms protect those who obey The Forms. The Forms must be obeyed.

Those who do not with the dance of détente and indulge in the prurient actions of War Crimes and Capital Offenses shall bear permanent consequences.
